PESO Super Typhoon Rolly

Within the last three weeks, five back-to-back typhoons ravaged houses and livelihood in the Philippines. Typhoon events are not uncommon in the country, but in a backdrop of a global pandemic that has already caused hardships, the local impacts are more devastating.

Super Typhoon Rolly (Goni – Internationally), considered as the world’s strongest typhoon in 2020 barrelled through the Bicol Region, which is south of the main island of the Philippines. Thousands of houses were buried under volcanic rocks and mudflows in the province of Albay, with more than 400,000 people displaced and are temporarily living in evacuation centers.

In light of all these, our organization, the Philippine Engineers and Scientists Organization (PESO), a 501-c-3, non-for-profit organization is earnestly asking for your help to build a relief fund for recovery efforts in the towns of Bacacay, Polangui, and Libon in Albay. These are the hometowns of PESO Past President Gilbert Bermundo, PESO Secretary Vishnu Mahant, and PESO President Thomas Serrano.

Our collective goal: $10,000

All donations to this fund will support the recovery and relief effort for the victims of the Super Typhoon Rolly via the Local Government Units in the towns. We want to provide you with the accurate information re your support, so please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
